I plug my iPod in, iTunes does it’s thing and then it auto-unmounts. The problem here is that without it being mounted, Audioscrobbler doesn’t let me update my iPod to tell it what all i’ve been listening to. This used to work but i have a sneaking suspicion that Tiger does everything via automount/unmount so that i can’t stay connected to my iPod since they’re afraid i’ll steal something.
How do i manually mount my iPod so that i can run Audioscrobbler scripts on it?
(I’ve read the Apple docs but they don’t solve my problem and are outdated.)
Look in the “iPod” tab of the Preferences window in iTunes while the iPod is connected. Check enable disk mode (or something to that effect–I dont’ have my iPod handy). Now your iPod should stay mounted all the time (and you will need to remember to unmount it manually before disconnecting).

Okay, when I go to play songs from artists which I only have 1 song it doesn’t work. When I play it, the ipod automatically goes back to the main menu. But it does play all my other songs that aren’t 1 song by an artist, so you could say it works. HOW DO I GET TO PLAY THOSE SONGS!?

Alright here is my dilema, i can get my iPod to upload songs and everything but when i want to play songs like a song that is on a single playlist or even a group of a 100 songs or so, all it does is just skip it. When i say it skips the song, it doesn’t even play it, kind of like it can’t read it and it will do this with all the songs in that playlist. Got any idea why this is happening or what i can do to fix this issue? i dont really want to clean it out and start over again becuase that would just take too much time and it would be my third time, so other options are preferred…HELP! PLEASE?

My iPod hates me! When I try to play a song, most of the time it will skip through the song and plenty of others to a song it wants to play. I see no pattern in the songs that are skipped. I love music, and without my iPod I will die! HELP!

I brought a new computer and i decided to transfer some of my music onto my new computer.I installed itunes but I had no idea how to keep my old playlist. I tried adding two of my playlist together (my new and my old playlist) but instead I replaced my old list with my new one. I feel really bad. Is there some way i can undo what i did and get my old playlist back?

I just got the iPod, they recently updated it to color (stupid, just a way to lose money {same price}). So I ordered the 20 GB. On the box, it shows an album pic, the name of the song, Artist name, and Album name EX: Pic of Elephunk, Hey Mama, Black Eyed Peas, Elephunk. None of my songs have a pic!! Only one and I did NOTHING to get it. How do you GET a pic to COME UP?

lately when I plug my ipod into the usb port on my computer to update it with new songs, playlists, etc. the “do not disconnect” sign pops up on the ipod just like normal, but nothing happens on my computer. usually it says “updating ipod do not disconnect” and this stays there until it’s finished but lately that doesn’t happen at all no matter how long I leave it in there. I’m not very good with computers at all so please help me, I want to here my new playlists!!!

Ok, i was so excited when i got my little 4gb iPod mini I installed everything onto my computer (windows XP) and then i charged it for along time (it was low). I was also putting my music into it, when the battery was fully charged, i wanted to disconnect it, but it said DO NOT DISCONNECT! but no songs were being transfered. My comp. crashed bigtime before I had a chance to back up my songs. Now my songs are only on my i pod. If I reinstall the i pod software on my comp. then plug my i pod into the USB, will all of my songs get deleted from the i pod? Is there a way to upload the songs from my i pod back onto my comp. restoring playlist on my computer with out the songs erasing from the i pod?
