I plug my iPod in, iTunes does it’s thing and then it auto-unmounts. The problem here is that without it being mounted, Audioscrobbler doesn’t let me update my iPod to tell it what all i’ve been listening to. This used to work but i have a sneaking suspicion that Tiger does everything via automount/unmount so that i can’t stay connected to my iPod since they’re afraid i’ll steal something.
How do i manually mount my iPod so that i can run Audioscrobbler scripts on it?
(I’ve read the Apple docs but they don’t solve my problem and are outdated.)
does anyone know if you can share music between friends? what i mean is that I have an iPod and want to add my friends library onto my iPod but don’t want to lose my music. Is there an option to update iPod without over writing what is already there?

my ipod used to work fine. now though if you connect it up to the computer to try to put songs or anythin on it it doesnt come up with “do not disconnect”. or appear in i tunes. i just cant get it to open……it does however say that it is charging. how do i open my files or get it to show that the ipod is connected???HELP!!!!

hey does anyone ever actually answer these questions??? i hope so, i just bought an ipod mini, and at first it would turn on and everything, but now, for some reason, (i havent even put songs on it yet,) the folder with the exclamation mark comes up. i have checked apple.com/support/ipod, but all of the possible problems/solutions it lists are of no help. I just bought an ipod and i have been downloading from limewire. I try to switch them from limewire to itunes but it wont let me. And the one time that my cousin got them over they were under a blue color playlist and wouldnt go onto my ipod because they were not in my itunes library. My piece of shit iPod was on half battery at 3:00, I get home from work at 9:00 to find empty battery, when I try and connect it to my computer it does fuck all and just comes up with that fucking irritating folder/exclamation mark, same for when I try and charge it and same for when I try and do anything with it. I’ve tried resetting it, did fuck all, I can’t restore it because it cannot be mounted. What the fuck is mounting? I think my ipod mini accidentally got unplugged while it was loading songs on and it wiped a heap of songs off. The songs are still in itunes but they won’t go back onto the ipod. Please help!!!

i just plugged my ipod (5th gen) into my girlfriend’s laptop and was showing her some music via her itunes. when i ejected the ipod and tried to show her some music videos, it seems that all my folders have been jumbled up.
my podcasts now appear along with the artists (music) section aswell as my video podcasts which won’t show on the ipod now either…was wondering if i will have to take my ipod home, plug into my itunes, delete all my files then re-import them from my itunes library???
any suggestions?
