I plug my iPod in, iTunes does it’s thing and then it auto-unmounts. The problem here is that without it being mounted, Audioscrobbler doesn’t let me update my iPod to tell it what all i’ve been listening to. This used to work but i have a sneaking suspicion that Tiger does everything via automount/unmount so that i can’t stay connected to my iPod since they’re afraid i’ll steal something.
How do i manually mount my iPod so that i can run Audioscrobbler scripts on it?
(I’ve read the Apple docs but they don’t solve my problem and are outdated.)
ok, i just got a new computer and threw out my old one. So I plugged my ipod in and accidentally pressed update but there were no songs on iTunes so it updated nothing, so now my iPod is empty. Is there a way to get it back cuz I spent a lot of money on those songs.
I’ve trying restoring, updating,and getting into disk mode. I cannot get my computer to recognize my ipod Mini at all. Does anyone have any brillant ideas as to what is going on? I’m getting to the point that I am almost bald.
Hey my ipods the same as most of yours. At first, it wouldn’t show the album artwork even though on prefs it was ticked.
Then it froze on a song and after about 2 days of non-stop connecting to the computer it fixed on its own. Its happened again and I’m going through the same process.
As for all the other people with the same problem as me try this:
1. Slide hold switch to hold and back again. x4
2. Press both the Menu and center button.
3. After about 6-10 seconds, the apple logo comes up.
4. The file and exclamation point comes up (if you have this problem)
5. Plug into PC non-stop for two days or until it shows charging animation.
6. By the next morning it should be fixed.
Thats how mine fixed last time, hopefully this time too! Fingers crossed!!!
OK. so I own an iPod but I have a napster subscription (not “to-go, though just a regular subscription). Is there any way to transfer my bought tunes from Napster to my Ipod without using a file-sharing download like ShareBear. Anyone who could answer this helpfully asap would be incredibly appreciated by me. thanks

I just downloaded some songs last nite and now every time I try to charge my ipod nothing happens!! I won’t turn on and my computer doesn’t even recogize that it’s turned on…I can’t get it to charge at all! I tried resetting it but nothing happens. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend gave me his ipod shuffle and i connected and i got the requierments. It worked fine and had music in no time but when i put it back it seems that the songs were erased, tried to update it with the ipod updater and it said it cant mount. I also tried restarting it and it didnt work. i also couldnt connect with itunes. Anybody have any suggestions on what i should do.

I have gone away on holidays for several months and left my laptop at home. I want to download new songs onto my ipod but obviously do not want to loose what is already on there. Is there any way at all I can upload my ipod library onto my buddy’s PC so I can keep what is already on my ipod but continue to add new music. I have contacted the support team and they tell me there is external sources out there that assist you to do this but for obvious reasons they would not give me any further info. I have spent the last 6 hours searching the net to try and find what I am looking for but to no avail, is there anyone out there who could put me out of my misery and help me figure out how to do this. I am going loopy trying to figure it out. I will be eternally grateful for any help at all.

If I delete the iPod program from my pc now, when i use a new one will the songs all be there on my iPod?
I have saved all of my songs on a pen and disc just in case

I was listening to my ipod and then an exclamation point came up over a file and then it just shut off. ummm about the dude who needs help disconnenting his ipod. you just go down to you’re tool bar. and you should see a usb cable picture. just right click that and go to disconnect. then click ipod and that should do it.
