It is very unsettling to go to a brainstorming dinner concerning a game that you play and note that the researcher has a copy of your thesis with her without even realizing who you are.

Mark – it is *definitely* very cool, but it’s always a little odd to realize that you’re reocgnized as a researcher instead of just feeling like a perpetual grad student with no voice. A change of self-perception is necessary, but hard to handle!
