good idea, astral projecting could work. Some otherkin “think” that these hunters have been using the spirit world as well to watch us. But they can’t shoot your soul, so that might just work. What exactly do you mean? I mean if you did something with fire you did it. The only way I (in my own opinion) could think you had the powers without actually doing anything would be if you only “felt” the ability to preform them. And even then they could be latent abilities.

Its a good theory but i dont think i am an empath because i can do many things when my brother is not around. Also i have evidence to say he might be a mutant.
