eminem’s mosh

Eminem’s video for his new song Mosh brings me to tears. Regardless of what anyone things of Eminem, i’ve always loved his willingness to fight, to be resistant to contemporary society even while being framed as mainstream. This video, put out by the Guerrilla News Network shows the anger and frustration of poor and marginalized populations, upset with Bush for the way that he’s destroyed the fabric of this country. It is a call to action, urging people to get out and vote. It is a rhythmic composition of completely radical and political rhetoric. It is a call to action for youth and for the disenfranchised. I sure hope that the youth get out to vote this time. They need to stand up for themselves before they become yet another group abused by this regime.

Update: The lyrics are in the extended entry for those who want to know what is being said.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it stands
One nation under God
Indivisible
It feels so good to be back..]

Scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel, reenergize, and rewind
I give sight to the blind, mind sight through the mind
I exercise my right to express when I feel it’s time
It’s just all in your mind, what you interpret it as
I say to fight you take it as I’m gonna whip someone’s ass
If you don’t understand don’t even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi taskin
And juggling both, perhaps mastered his craft slash
Entrepreneur who has held long too few more rap acts
Who has had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical manure moving past that
Mister kiss his ass crack, he’s a class act
Rubber band man, yea he just snaps back

Come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won’t steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors

To the people up top, on the side and the middle,
Come together, let’s all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
Don’t matter what color, all that matters is we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain’t gonna stop us, they can’t, we’re stronger now more then ever,
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go,
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, push up, mush, fuck Bush, until they bring our troops home come on just . . .

We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors, come on

Imagine it pouring, it’s raining down on us,
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone’s trying to tell us something, maybe this is God just saying
we’re responsible for this monster, this coward, that we have empowered
This is Bin Laden, look at his head nodding,
How could we allow something like this, Without pumping our fist
Now this is our, final hour
Let me be the voice, and your strength, and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme, just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply it by six
Teen million people are equal of this high pitch
Maybe we can reach Al Quaida through my speech
Let the President answer on high anarchy
Strap him with AK-47, let him go
Fight his own war, let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our soil
No more psychological warfare to trick us to think that we ain’t loyal
If we don’t serve our own country we’re patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes, it’s all lies, the stars and stripes
They’ve been swiped, washed out and wiped,
And Replaced with his own face, mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you’ll know why, because I told you to fight

So come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won’t steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors

[Eminem speaking angrily]
And as we proceed, to mosh through this desert storm, in these closing statements, if they should argue, let us beg to differ, as we set aside our differences, and assemble our own army, to disarm this weapon of mass destruction that we call our president, for the present, and mosh for the future of our next generation, to speak and be heard, Mr. President, Mr. Senator

i loved him too cos of his courage to express his own idea and do it the best he can which is put in song. good move to share with among the youth.

  2. Logan

my spine tingles when i watch the video. as much as i disagree with a lot of eminem’s antics, this video and his brave move to put his message out there, earns him a lot of credibility in my book.

  3. fredshouse.net

    mosh

Amazing. Give a guy a little free speech, next thing you know he’s a political force. I never allowed myself to like eminem, but that’s over now. Even if you can’t stand Marshall Mathers, or ‘that shit these kids call…

  4. STEVE

Eminem said exactly what i was thinking . Im so suprised with this vidio and song from eminem , this is the best music vidio with an agenda that ive ever saw. I just hope everyone who is voting may get a chance to view it.

  5. uk huni

I think its an excellent video and song. I have always been a fan of eminems music even when he has been badly portrayed in the media. But hearing his views on “Bush” coming out of his mouth alot more people will stand up and take notice. I think Eminem deserves a lot of respect for raising the issue and expressing his views. But after all music is a freedom of speech so we really should hear more music with messages from artists. I will certainly be buying his album Encore not only because i like the music but as a matter of principle.

Eminem is the voice of people who cannot reach the amount of people he can. This is my fuel to continue my willingness to let my voice be heard to remove bush from office. Eminem is doing what I have been begging for from high profile celeberties.

Not only is it powerful it lets people know you can speak and you are not unpatriotic. It is time for people to take a stand.

The best part about about it is that he is conveying this message intelligently. His words tied in with the visuals overwhelms me with emotion.

    Eminem is my guy.

    Vote November 2nd

I am ready to march are you?

  7. joe

Oh isnt it lovely to see such a piece of gutter trash decide to talk about politics. Eminem is just a washed up joke. He has become nothing but a mouthpiece for the left. Anyone who takes his political views seriously needs to have their head examined. Eminem let me give you a word of advice, stick to music and leave the politics to those who posses an IQ that is above 90. I will offer the same advice to all of the hollywood left.

  8. Will

I just saw the mosh video and I’m actually embarassed for the little pip-squeak.. Emenem clearly doesn’t understand current events and clearly does not see that the best way to combat terrorism is to spread freedom. This new video is a testemony to his lack of knowledge and sheds some frightening light on his coward-like view points.

  9. shaggy

Two posts above, Joe advised Eminem to “leave the politics to those who posses an IQ that is above 90.”

Well, Joey boy, if we leave the politics to those with an IQ above 90, that means Bush can’t be president. Fine by me.

Eminem speaks his mind, because he has a mind to speak with. George W. Bush is an empty-headed ventriloquist dummy who recites words from speechwriters about ideas fed to him by Dick Cheney and Karl Rove.

The emperor has no clothes and no brain, and I’m glad that someone as popular as Eminem (who is about as far from washed-up as you can be) has the guts to point it out.

  10. tiwwa30

I think the video goes beyond undermining Bush and his administration, on the collage on the wall there is hinted of connection between the ruling goverment and the illuminati,in the form of the all seeing eye that is also on the dollar bill. also depicting bush as the devil, fabricating 9/11 and osama bin laden.

This goes far beyond political preference there for i don’t think the video can be considert either democrat or rebublic.

    powerful stuff

    respect !!!

  11. Amy

I’m from Detoit. This video is visually stunning but the message is HATE. What an ignorant, hypocritical idiot.
I actually feel sorry the the Kerry supporters who have to have him as their spokes-person.
I am all for people being creative and speaking their mind – but he needs to stop.
Doesn’t he realize that Bush makes it possible for him to have the gun that he uses to threaten the guys who talk to his babys-momma?
I’m confused, Is he FOR fighting or against it.
He’s all about speaking HIS mind but if you want to speak yours he gives you his big middle finger. In our local paper he has been stated as saying that he has NEVER voted before. A 32-year old with this much “Credibility” and “Agenda” – Has NEVER voted. What a joke…

  12. liz

the only requirements to vote in this country are to be 18 and a citizen. (and not on parole, which is BS if u ask me). and you don’t even need to be a citizen or be 18 to have an opinion. there are no IQ requirements, and it doesn’t matter how many times you voted before. a lot of people never felt compelled until now. arnold doesn’e have the best rtack record on voting, and he’s my governor and has aspirations to become president(and yes, i know he is supposed to be a natural-born citizen, but there is talk by–Who else? bush, to change that) but i think Eminem is a lot smarter than his critics give him credit for. Do you people even listen to Eminem’s music? or are you just lumping him together with all other rap artists? because he hardly speaks of guns, and if he does, he’s usually being fascetious or just trying to push buttons. and believe me, no one from the Kerry camp reqruited him to be a spokesperson. i’m sure many of them are as disturbed by eminem as old white rebublicans are. and since when is he the “mouth-piece” for the left? i mean, this song is the first I’ve heard of him speaking against bush, and tiwwa30 is right, this isn’t JUST about bush. and Amy, i don’t really care if you’re from “Detoit”, is that supposed to give you credibility or insight into Eminem’s world so you can criticize him? of course you have that right, but Bush didn’t give anyone the right to bear arms, the constitution does, and although i am for gun control, it’s not like no one had guns before bush and he legalized them all. democrats aren’t trying to take everyone’s guns away, and maybe there are bigger issues in this election that eminem (and a lot of us) are concerned about.

  13. ronin

politic, religion and guns are dangerous in the hands of stupid people. we should be more careful about who we let use them.

  14. United Europe

Yea Will (Quote:clearly does not see that the best way to combat terrorism is to spread freedom) like in Iraq, where now AFTER Bush attacked and “liberated” Iraq Al-Quaeda and the fundamentalists are reigning and building an new Taliban regime.
Saddam was a cruel insane dictator but Iraq was also one of the few “socialistic” regimes, and Saddam did not like fundamentalists, he tried to crush them in his own country because they wanted to get ridd of him and install a islamic state.
So everything they wished has come true THANKS BUSH!!!!!!!

  15. somebody

Eminem is amazing again…..his message is loud and clear..and all that say shit about it should go…listen to it again and then give us their stupid opinion…Vote this year for Kerry..cause he is smarter than Bush (the drink bitch) will ever be in a million years….like eminem said:
    “No more blood for oil”

  16. cd

You democratic mother fuckers are so fucking confused that its really fucking funny. Bush is the best pres. we have had. Bush04

  17. Bryan

The main thing I got from the video was everyone coming together from different backgrounds to work towards a common goal. I love Em and have alwys studied his music critically. He is smart and is representing hip-hop bravely with this, but If ya’ll think Eminem is talkin real talk, listen to Outkast. For the last 10 years they have been saying the same thing. “Come comet, come dancer, come prancer, come
ni**as with machine guns, I think that is the answer, what’s the question?” All races need to unite soon cause we need everyone to get Bush out of office, even if he’s “re-elected.” No violence needed for this task

  18. Crystal

ITs funny how some are so easy swayed by lies—ie all the security soccer moms and silver spoon trust fund kids or hillbillys or oil barons

bush needs to leave and anyone who disagrees has their head between there legs.

There’s a reason why this will be the most important election in american history and it has nothing to do with domestic policy… its due to the possible effect the maniacial bush doctrine has on the rest of the world ….
If “y’all ” do relect bush ill be shaking my head from my home in canada…. !!!

Good on eminem, its a powerful video.

  19. Emily

I am glad to see that there are so many young people in my generation that have such strong views! I am a big Eminem fan, but honestly I disagree with some of his views. I don’t like his disrespect toward women, but I understand his anger toward them after all the shit he went through in the past. And also some other issues. But this video “mosh” speaks to me as a person of this generation of young people. I think the emotional inspiration for us to “mosh” for our rights is awsome!!! I’ll be there marching with you Em. But I am going to vote for Bush for lots of reasons that are to long to go into. But I think the video is inspiationa! Very well done!Eminem is very smat, look how far he has gotten he has got to have a higher IQ then 90. But I am tellin you as young voters, democat or republican, we all need to come together as the next generation and “mosh” for our rights on Nov. 2nd!

  20. crystal

Wow its a graduate of bush’s no child left behind act…. look at his ability to form complex sentences. !!!!!!!!

    What are you 12????????

    Listening to mosh again !!!!

  21. Amanda

I agree!!! the fact young people are being encouraged to vote is a good thing…. especially since it seems to be working.

I thought the video was powerful

  22. cd

Think what you want. But if you are voting for John Kerry, you are a close minded idiot. The fucker is such a lier its crazy. Open your fucking eyes people!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Erik

I really can’t tell if this cd guy is trying to be ironic. Calling Kerry a liar? He’s gotta be joking. Bush lied to all of us. I mean, ALL OF US. Moderate Republicans like to parade the fact that Kerry voted for the war in Iraq, but seeing as Bush told us that Saddam Hussien had weapons of mass destruction, I really can’t see how you can blame him for believing bush. Unless you admit Bush has been an idiotic liar from day one. In which case, you’ve just fallen into catch-22 and need to slap yourself for voting for him in the first place.
I also do not really like Eminem that much. I’ve never been much of a fan of Rap music, and a lot of his stuff seemed like he just wants to get a rise out of people. Still, you cannot deny that his lyrics and the design of the video are inspiring. For that, I applaud him. I think I might give some of his fans a hug the next time I see them for somthing. Because that’s really what the video’s about, in my opinion. UNITY.
The poor, the disenfranchised, the unemployed, the minorities, the intellectual elite, ANYBODY really. We all need to start banding together here. Emininem’s video, like Dean’s campaign, is a rallying call to all people that tranceneds loud rap music. We all need to get out and vote, and I feel we all need to stop shouting at eachother and start listening. I for one would be very interested in why levelheaded people like Emily are considering voting for Bush. It’s your right not to share, but I really feel people need to start discussing these types of things.

  24. Dejenn

cd said “Bush is the best President we have had.” Oh please. Have you even heard of the Patriot Act? It isn’t even American! How about the hideous mess in Iraq? I suppose you think that is going well. Not to mention the fact that the whole world hates us.

Anyway, I think Eminem’s video is great. Voter suppression and intimidation are extremely volatile issues right now. Giving courage to anyone heading out to vote is important and what he has done is brave.

  25. Saif Choudhury

Something I’d like to point out is that there’s an interesting crossover happening here: enthusiasts of rap music, and perhaps Eminem’s music in particular, who perhaps weren’t seriously thinking about voting before, now are giving the election serious thought. At the same time, I’m noticing a lot of young people giving serious thought to the election who hadn’t really paid much attention to Eminem’s music until now.

There’s absolutely no defense for any of Bush’s policies. But the really interesting thing is that two movements are growing now, whether Bush is elected or not: the increasing awareness of politics by young people and the increasing awareness of rap by the politically minded. Even if Bush is re-elected, at least this thought provides a small amount of hope.

  26. illafifth dynamite

As a hip-hop fan, i have honestly never been a fan of eminem. i always felt he has showed signs of brilliance but his desire to cause controversey held him back from true creative genius. he had some compelling stuff, like “stan” and “lose yourself,” but he also had pure rubbish like “real slim shady” and that new song “just lose it.” with “mosh” however, i feel that eminem is finally doing something i’d hoped he’d do, he’s using his great writing ability for something he believes in. other artists like mos def, talib kweli and more recently kanye west with “jesus walks” have always had my respect because they do just that. what eminem does with this song is he finally uses his immense popularity for something good. and while i’ve not been such a fan of him in the past, i’ve just gained a whole lot more respect for him. even moby likes it.

  27. South African Sean

Whoa… I am by no means an Eminem fan, I think he raps like a trailer park white boy, and his music production team (the peeps that put together his beats) sound like a bunch of 12year olds learning how to play keyboards and beat machines… BUT… and this is a very big but… after seeing “mosh,” I have to say, big up, much respect and recognise the fact that he has finally made a contraversial video and song – with actual meaning – just in time for the US elections… For once im with the “Real Slim Shady” on this one, fuck Bush and the lies he keeps feeding American people, and fuck the American people that are stupid, ignorant, arrogant, narrow minded and brainwashed enough to listen to, and believe his bullshit… well done eminem, i now have a little respect for you (which is a lot more than i used to have for you) …Peace Out… Sean

  28. South African Sean

As a non American, I can honestly say that i agree with Dejenn and Crystal from canada… If Bush gets re-elected, watch the world turn on America… Its going to be a really tough job for Kerry if he gets elected though, having to fix all of Bush’s four years worth of fuck ups… good luck Kerry

  29. mosher

time to get the war criminals out of DC.
i’m energized to vote for kerry tomorrow morning.
i’m glad eminem made this video. thank you mr. mathers.

  30. 1-n-only-Lady

Eminem is smart and talented, compare to other shitty rappers makin money out there when all they do is talk about fuckin whores, guns and gangs like they’re “cool”. Although they DO sound really gay and idiotic. Embarassment of the music industry. Example: that clown 50 cent. If you havn’t heard Eminem CDs you obviously don’t know shiets. Therefore, don’t assume him as another black rapper wanabe because he’s not. So since u don’t know nothing then quit talking trash like you know and stop wasting your time yappin bullshit and prove that you people are a bunch of idiots with free time and trying to get attention on internet.
oh yeah, and to cd, please, stop it, you’re pissin off people. Yes i appreciate how you speak ur mind and all, but this is BULLSHIT. stop before people turn the mothin fuckin finger up at you.
Love to all. Make the right choice between Bush and Kerry. hahhahahahha. Wells we be trashin bush rite now. Watch Kerry get elected, and next thing you know he turns out to be jus like bush because things aint simple. Maybe next year ppl be marchin on street “Anti Kerry”. Mad TV doin bullshits about him. An eminem wanabe takin the opportunity to make money out of a video Anti kerry and we’ll meet again in a forum. Chattin shits and give away freetime like losers. hahaha. God bless. Alrite, later. I’m done, your turn to spit at me.— 1-n-only-Lady —

  31. Fitz

Not a big rap or Em fan, however, that was an intense video and Em’s points were right on. Bush is intent on really hurting the disenfranchised even more so. It is obvious to me and to Em we have to come together and rid this country of a President that despises so many of his own people

  32. shim

wow, eminem does it again, but what is it that makes eminem reach us the way he has ever since the martial mathers LP, why is it that mushrooms was never an influential hit? it was top of the charts! eminem got great at teeling an abstract story like a horriscope that everyone can derive thier own personal guidance from. sing for the moment helped me with abusive step parents. so why does this happen? its because everything is a ballad that we can all relate to. he is a genuise and fuck all you who comment on my spelling i didnt write this for you to see my gramatical superiority. i did it for the same reason you voted, becuase i want to be heard. back to what i was sayin. eminem has changed my life in so many ways. i have can all but call him my god. this may sound sick and twisted but in my oppioin he has answers to questoins we all ask. he gives them to us in the form of song and rap. you can pray to him if it makes you happy but thats not what i mean by god; i am an agnostic. for those of you who are bush supporters, agnostic is a big word for people who may believe in god, but assume that if he does exist, there would be no way to fully undersatnd anything of that magnitude. when u ask god questoins he never answers them that clearly if at all. but eminem has those answers for me, whos with me? eminem is the kind of person that we need more of in the world. he may be manifested as the greatest rapper that ever lived at the moment but there is not reaason inmy mind that he cant be called one of the greatest leaders of all time. how many million records need to be sold before people who hate him will ask themselves? what am i missing. there has to be something that he can offer even the ignorant. i just wanted to ramble alittle but the main point is eminem is perfect and his new video is a masterpiece. its too bad that bush won. and i think that it would have been to bad either way, i think that bush needs to get out of office, and i think that it would have been fun to see the political implecations of a new and non bush like president. would kerry have been able to make the middle east any better. probably not but he could have made new and diffrent problems. it would have made CNN more intresting for me. just so you know i am from canada. and everyone here was just as dissapointed to hear about bush being re elected. so dont think that ur country was the only one who hated bush. the problem is the two quoquo argument. there is two presidential canidates one is terrible and we know he sucks and the other we can assume would be diffrent but suck jsut as bad. so you guys had a hard electoin cause u couldnt win either way. dont feel bad. here in canada we care so little about elections that when we do elect PRIME MINISTERS not presidents for you bush supporters out there (the ignorant and retarded) we rarely know who they are and we do nothing to protect them. a wounderful example of bushs’ mastermind is the time when he called out prime minister john pountine at a press confrence on national televisoin. for those of you out there who are not familiar, poutine is french fries in gravy with mozza cheese on it. his real name was JEAN CHRETIEN you can see how any uneducated kindergardener could have made that mistake… or the leader of your country for that matter. anyway i hate bush, i hope he dies. i dont see how its fair that clinton had to be scandalus or that JFK had to get killed. why cant someone shoot bush, and then come see me. i’ll pay you. then again its canadian money and its worthless. i wish the karma police were out in full force all the time. i want to see bush in uniform with an ak47, and hey anyone who doesnt hate buch enuff yet, go watch farenhight 911. that will help you out a little. ok so i hate bush and i love eminem, when am i gonna shut up. never because i want to talk polotics and noone in my country cares about anything. all we do is bitch about how americans take over everthing and then we immulate you as much as we can. all we ever watch is CNN and your other american networks. so dont get me wrong, i am pro america and anti bush. as well i am anti american govt. like i said u guys got screwed no matter who you picked your all gonna get drafted and killed by those fuckers in the white house. anyway lets keep eminem alive. everyone go out and buy 2 or more copies of “encore” i dont know what i am going to do when he gets old or stops putting out albums. he is the only thing thats real to me. better than jesus, who we cant prove, or god who we cant see or hear or touch but we can pay thousands a year to a church to go visit. i can pay 24 bux and get a cd of emienm that will let me feel and touch the fruits of my hard work and allow me to have salvatoin in his lyrics. so you should all come on board, follow me. as i lead through the dark… what ever, or however it goes. i jsut wanna sound cool. hit me back. if anything made sense to u that i said. other wise and i am saying this loud. dont.
if you do write back and its bitching about what i said or spelling or anything like that. than ok, waist your time, feel all high and mighty, tell me off, be a big man, or woman. and then ask yourself. what makes a person so poisoinouse ritiouse, that they would think less of anyone who just disagreed? so there you have it , go ahead. insult me, tell me to shut up. fuck it. i am whatever you say i am. if i wasnt, than why would i say i am. i said this shit to stir up shit. so go ahead insult me, let me win.

  33. rach

I am a 26 year old wife and mother, who thought I would love eminem? But I do, he has crossed over so many lines it is amazing. He says and does things I would love the courage to say and do. I have a son who has autism and is being educated by NCLB, and I wish that Bush could have been removed from office also, the funding he promised is not being given. This country has lost itself in the last four years and it will continue to for the next four. Statistics show this to be a fact even though GW likes to put a spin on those figures every chance he gets. You are right in saying that Kerry was the less of the two evils. I have voted since I was 18(and not for W) and I hope Mosh got more young people out to vote, but only 17% of the 18-35 demographic actually did vote. We should wake up. I am thankful my children are small and are in no danger by a draft, that probably will happen. It will be slipped in a bill that passes and we wont even know it. Check out the 911 Security Bill passed by House and Senate to see how our rights as free americans are being trampled on. The people of this country, contrary to popular belief, do not run it and as the election clearly showed, half of this country thinks we need a change. Tell me about the morality of people that are against abortion, but will freely give up their children to fight and die for this war-machine. To me both are equal. Do not call me unpatriotic, there have been wars that were worth being fought but this isnt one of them. I see no reason why one of my family members is in Mosul, Iraq this morning instead of working for his family, and being with his grandchildren, at home where he is really needed.

  34. Jesse

Eminem’s video is great. It tells us more about how Bush is not a good president.Eminem speaking his mind and that takes alot of guts.Eminem may not be the smartest guy in America but he tald me things about the president that are true and show the real side of Bush.Eminem is my favorite rapper. Now i like him even more he spoke his mind and tld us the truth

  35. ME

Alrite alrite. Shim: u have great thoughts. but Kerry is a dumbass who can’t make up his mind and go for it. Yet i agree Eminem is talented. But he’s not perfect. And we don’t need more ppl like Eminem in this world. Imagine a world full of eminems…who’s gona listen to who? There’s a leader, there’s a doer. and more intellectuals are needed in this world. We need great leadership and imfluence skills like Em but we need another mind. Because rapping about raping his own mother, doing drugs, is not what we need in society.

  36. caragh

im irish and i am trying to see the world through an americans eyes the resentment felt towards bush is so strong even here in Ireland.it is so difficult to understand that bush, in his 4 years of reign, has created two wars, breaking the United Nations agreement.bushes motive for this war, which IF it was genuine has now been disproved. Bush is in way over his head and america will be all the worse because of it expenses should be tolling soon

  37. cd

Alright fuckers, what did i tell you? Bush won, so all you fucking low life democratic mothers can suck my dick.

  38. dharkwings

This video sent a chill up my spine, it was that powerful. Never really cared for Eminem, but that doesn’t really matter here, does it? One thing I’ve learned lately is that if you want to get your point across, you’re going to have to piss people off. I have to respect the guy for fearlessly voicing his opinion. I know next to nothing about him, and I honestly don’t care about him one way or the other, but he’s proven that there are some people left in this country who aren’t afraid to offer a dissenting view where it is least wanted and most needed, no matter how many people hate him for it. Given the choice between following Eminem or some self-righteous redneck with a bible in his hand, Jesus in his heart, and a gap between his ears, I’ll take fuckin Eminem all the way.

“Those who refuse to follow are doomed to lead.”

“Alright fuckers, what did i tell you? Bush won, so all you fucking low life democratic mothers can suck my dick.”

And you people talk about moral values!

    Miscreant’s electing miscreants.

“ME” this goes out to you. i cant help but agree with you. i was wrong to say that the world should have more eminems. yes we need people to lead and others to follow. however when you say that he raps about raping his mother and doig drugs. have you ever heard an eminem song b4? would you say you have heard the lyrics or been reached by them. if it was the former that thats too bad and i hope one day he reaches you the way he was reached me. if its the latter you say, than you would agree that he has never rapped about raping anyone and that the words he uses and the context he uses them in are not at all a signature of him, his personality or the moral he upholds. he was stated many times,”i m an entertainer” i only became a musician because you people called me one” I am what ever u say i am” you call me gay, fine fuck fags. you say i hate people for no reason, fine i hate everbody” i never thought i would get this big” its the people that made such a fuss when i holla at fags or talk about beatin someone up, or the ones who ban me from states or arenas. its the ones who want to see me off tv for good. those are the people i have to thank, it was them who made me as huge as i am. ” so look “ME” he was not a rapist he doesnt do all the drugs he says he does. he admits to dropping some shrooms in his younger days and he says he likes to smoke pot. SO do many lawyers i know. the point is, he is what he needs to be to do his job and the reaason i wanted more people to be like him, is he is real., he is not afraid, and he brings people together by speaking a universal language. i am a white suburban kid. and i know deep down that i wouldnt survive a day in south central LA even thou i grew up on the street when i was younger b4 i was adopted in to nice suburban home. but i think that his music and his music alone is able to reach me and a war torn impovrished black family in south central while simotaneously reaching me with the same message. he speaks language i can feel. and about what you said about carly. please re read what i wrote above in my last post. i never said kerry was good i said he was the lesser of two evils. yes he has many flaws. but the emphasis i had was never pro kerry, it was anti bush. hit me back, u seem better educated than most of the half wits like mr “FUCK U ALL BUSH WON” guy.

I’m not a huge Eminem fan, but the lyrics in MOSH mimic my feeling exactly! Bush and his regime will be the downfall of this country. Throughout history, every great nation has fallen due to one bad dictator. I fear it is now our turn. Although Kerry was not my ideal pick from the pool of democrats … when given a choice between him and Bush, Kerry was certainly the lesser of two evils. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, and Ashcroft ARE the ‘axis of evil’! I hope all those misguided Americans that voted to keep this regime in power are proud of themselves when we have no jobs, no healthcare, a failing education system, no social security, and (thanks to Bush) no unity as a country. Then again … maybe those ARE all of the “values” that the ‘wrong’ wing republicans are so concerned about.
