My name is danah boyd and I'm a researcher at Microsoft Research New England and a Fellow at the Harvard Berkman Center for Internet and Society. I received my PhD from the School of Information at UC-Berkeley. I live in Boston, MA. Buzzwords in my world include: public/private, identity, context, youth culture, social network sites, social media. I use this blog to express random thoughts about whatever I'm thinking.

If I could be anyone, I would be a singles service for Mormons!
Not only that, but I would have no privacy policy and say thing like: I “may freely use and disclose (including, without limitation, to law enforcement agencies), any information and materials received from you or collected through your use of the Web Site for any lawful reason or purpose.”
I would also be a Web site that by the name of it, encourages people to pretend to be media stars or fictional characters and use images of them, but not allow users to “violate, plagiarize, or infringe the rights of third parties, including, without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, rights of privacy or publicity, or any other proprietary right;”
But seriously, I’d like to be the guy smoking whatever they’ve been smoking.
