My name is danah boyd and I'm a researcher at Microsoft Research New England and a Fellow at the Harvard Berkman Center for Internet and Society. I received my PhD from the School of Information at UC-Berkeley. I live in Boston, MA.     that article makes you sound pretentious.

  • What’s pretentious about being articulate about inequality? I didn’t *make* Danah Boyd sound like anything. She said what she said and what she says is powerful. Yes, I called her “a-list” … I did so because she is one of the most frequently cited bloggers around. I understand that it would make her shudder to be called this but I was trying to make the point that some of the more famous bloggers have a social conscience and Danah’s just happens to be one of the most interesting of all of them.
