 My name is danah boyd and I'm a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research, a Research Assistant Professor in Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University, a Visting Researcher at Harvard Law School, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales. I received my PhD from the School of Information at UC-Berkeley. I spend 1/3 of my time in Cambridge, MA, 1/3 in New York, NY, and 1/3 in the air. Buzzwords in my world include: public/private, identity, context, youth culture, social network sites, social media. I use this blog to express random thoughts about whatever I'm thinking.

blog comments spamOK.. i’m not a big fan of the systems out there that leave “comments” on my blog which are simply spam and points to their porn or business sites. I like the comments feature… i tend to start conversations with people based on those who reach out to comment interesting things in my blog. But i do not like going through and deleting the spam ones each day. ::grumble:: 2 comments to blog comments spam |

are you using Moveable Type’s URL blocking feature? Works pretty well for me at blocking the spam bots.
Spamming is so lame. That’s why I got my penis enlarged before the Nigerian email conference. By the way, let me know if you need any prescription drugs or college diplomas FAST.
