All social and non-required professional activities are on hold.  Email is dying.  Blog reading\/commenting is a month behind.  Eeeek.  Of course, i continue to blog to procrastinate things or to get my head out of my toosh.<\/p>\n<p>But, alas, i have a stack of blog entries that i wanted to comment on.  Instead, i&#8217;m just going to list them since this blog is in-part my journal of interesting found objects\/ideas and i&#8217;m not going to be up for air until late April at the earliest.<\/p>\n<p>YASNS:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chandrasutra.typepad.com\/chandra\/2004\/02\/the_guardian_we.html\">Explaining social networks to non-techies<\/a> (lack of sustainability concerns)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chandrasutra.typepad.com\/chandra\/2004\/02\/managing_your_o.html\">Managing your Orkut Celebrity<\/a> (really good reflection on Justin&#8217;s reflection that hi-profile digi-people don&#8217;t need these services to create an online identity)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/summation.typepad.com\/summation\/2004\/02\/linkedin_data_a.html\">Auren reflects on his LinkedIn data<\/a> (Offline, i challenged him with thinking about how this technology is making his introduction rituals more time consuming and less helpful)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/socialsoftware.weblogsinc.com\/\">Social Software Weblog<\/a> &#8211; too much goodness from them in February to link to specific entries.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifewithalacrity.com\/2004\/02\/my_advice_to_so.html\">Chris Allen&#8217;s advice to YASNS folks<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Blogging:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/help.blogger.com\/bin\/answer.py?answer=720&#038;topic=-1\">How to Network with Blogger<\/a> (and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlinebusinessnetworks.com\/blog\/2004\/2\/25\/how-to-network-with-your-blog-part-2\">ScottAllen&#8217;s Part 2<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/arago.cprost.sfu.ca\/marcelo\/archives\/001608.html\">Blogging and Habermas<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Live Journal:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.livejournal.com\/community\/lj_research\/4857.html\">Live Journal is producing FOAF right now.<\/a>  Personally, i&#8217;m frustrated with FOAF because it fails to address the social problems&#8230; it just focuses on the transparency of information problems.  Everyone&#8217;s rallying behind it but not realizing that their rally cry makes it harder to do sociably good social networks.
