Interesting talk!

The moral panics revolving around MySpace are so similar to the ones we have in Denmark concerning the largest social networking site in the country called http://www.arto.dk / http://www.arto.dk – and your research findings are also really similar to mine on that particular site.

Yay Dana! It’s been years since I’ve really talked to you about what you do and I just stumbled on to your blog this evening…what a treat it was to watch that talk! I love seeing people I know doing what they do best.

This is a thorough body of spoken information. zow. Not getting past undergrad some of it wizzed over my head, but I am impressed at just how much research you’ve done.

Blogging, the internet, even “googling” is fairly new to me, but I tip my hat to the internet’s power. And find it interesting to be in a time where we are all part of a new history in the making.

I look forward to more information that you share, especially when I can understand it.

I was so glad to see your talk. I do anti violence work on a college campus, and we are really curious and interested to be in social networks that doesn’t replicate the moral panic, or intrusive, doofy helping professional vibe, but does make resources really accessible. I’d really really like to consult with you, and even probably have some money to offer!

Actually, your talk was fascinating in all of the best ways. You were insightful, challenging and took each question seriously and responded with complete and thoughtful answers. As someone who was sitting up front and to your left I was very impressed with the variety of topics you were able to cover (and cover well) in the time allotted.

My only complaint was that you just sort of stopped talking when time was up. I would have rather had you continue talking until they kicked us all out of the room.

I think there is no reason to worry about your speech, all the more it was based on the answers to the questions of the audience!!!! i was a witness of an incident in the Dubai hotel I’ve stayed in recently, while was visiting the Emirates!!! A crazy person, I think, organized a public speech near the hotel about the World War II and his difficult childhood during it!!! It was very strange, though I sympathize with him!!!!

Nice talk. I think that, transcribed, that would present a good overview and introduction to your work for any newcomers. Volunteers? (everyone steps back) On a trivial note, your drink lasted just long enough for the talk? Chance, or carefull planning!?
