How can I contact you? I would like to find out what is wrong with these chumbys. The hang at boot problem could be related to a network/AP problem. We've seen some issues with the opening animation hanging because the DHCP acquire breaks with certain AP configurations (DHCP acquisition happens concurrently with the opening animation). We are looking to get more information on these failures. Also, it is fairly normal for the chumby core to reach temperatures in excess of 55 C--the electronics are rated to 70 C, or 158 F.

Or, if you would, please have them send me an email--bunnie with the chumby-dot-com domain name.

Wow, yours works?

Two of my co-workers got Chumbies (Chumbys? Chumbi?) at Foocamp, and all they do is hang on boot and heat up to ~120F.

It's an awesome idea, though.

Awww.. i was looking at the chumby site last night... really interesting idea that might actually succeed now that there is so much social-type content on the web.. it seems really neat! Now, one just needs to combine it with the features of the alarm clock that flies around the room until you catch it, and it would be the perfect way to wake up in the morning to music, pictures from your friends, your email and voicemail, cute overload, flickr accounts and blog entries and such. Perhaps integrate the necessities of a todo list for the day, calendar of appointments, etc and have a palm-chumby or windows mobile chumby software that allowed you to access all the same content in the same format when you're not near your real chumby.

How is the interface for reading blogs, email and all?

Speaking of cute overload.. look at this puppy!:

::hugs::
