danah, soooooo sorry you went through all that! I totally agree that it should be easy...I wouldn't even be near that phone if Dav hadn't been there to set it all up for me. I am very much like you and have no patience if the thing I want to use isn't intuitive. We should not have to struggle.

Anyhow, in case you're still up for it - and up for dual moblogging fun - Dav's offer to help set it up is still here. If he got mine working, he should be able to get yours too...

hugs

Look who just got Flickr to auto-blog! Be warned. Soon there will be a camera phone and then it will be all over. Trouble is a-brewing because i started playing with new technology. (And yes, this means that i'll be able to auto-Flickr-photo-blog SIGG...

Well, I don't know what you were expecting from T-Mobile. My experience with mobile operators has been disappointing. At KPN Mobile (the biggest operator in the Netherlands), they can't even get their billing system to work. Last year, I ordered a GPRS subscription (8 EUR per month for 1Mb of data) and they kept billing me for their i-mode service. I did not even have an i-mode phone. It took several months and many phone calls to get it straight. They did finally issue me a refund for all those months. And lately, I canceled my GPRS subscription (the 8 EUR per month) and when I noticed it was still on my bill, I emailed them. The response: what's your client number? Now why on earth would they be asking ME for my client number? They have my mobile phone number already. At this point, I exploded and I am now going to write an article on Industry Standard about your experience and my KPN Mobile experience. I cannot imagine these people getting into more sophisticated things like location-based services and photoblogging. They can't even get billing right. What a stupid bunch!
