class 4 notes

Here are notes from Class 4. Yes, it was another fun day in Lakoff land with the focus being on "Strategic Initiatives." Great bits on Christianity and militancy.

There are always various interesting people who sit in on the class. Today's visitor was James Dean, the brother of Howard.

Is there anyway to get your notes so you don't have to scroll ALL THE WAY to the right to read them?

Thanks,

Tim

I appreciate your idea of blogging the class. It would greatly improve your blog, if you could somehow motivate yourself or others to also add analysis of or debate about Lakoff's ideas.

On wrapping. The class notes are simple .txt files - feel free to open them in any program that knows how to wrap. I'm guessing the failing is Microsoft IE. It makes no sense to manually wrap text when most applications know how to handle text and manual wrapping results in horrid formatting for those applications. [Btw: i suggest a Mac.]

As for analysis... right now, that's not my intention with this blog. My goal is to get material up there for people to read, but i need to focus on my classes and the work that i do have going. Sorry, but i just don't have the time to do that as well. This blog is simply information sharing that helps open up the walls of academia.
