Currently a PhD student in the School of Information at University of California - Berkeley, danah boyd created this blog to document what she is reading for her qualifying exams. The title, alterity refers to my feeling of being in a perpetual state of otherness within the academy.
Each entry discusses a particular text. Entries contain quotes, notes and random thoughts. These entries may not tell the full picture and i may not have a full grasp on what she is covering. Please read each entry with caution and feel free to comment if you think that i am missing something.
